In response to #15 (comment) from @amirouche, forking the thread here since this seems like a good thing to discuss before Camp:
I hope dweb camp conversation will continue after the camp ends.
Having continuity and building trust at camp among campers and alliances among those with shared visions, that's a hope we flagged early on in planning. Some more concrete things being discussed at the moment:
The DWeb Global shared branding (blog may be down right now but it'll come back) work @whanamura is working on with Iryna Nezhynska, who will be hosting a session titled A Website Built by Many: Launching DWeb Global Together (see project page)
Global Fellowship committee is thinking about how to create shared event calendars and online spaces for folks around the world on dweb tech & community work to stay in touch, have opportunity to cross-pollinate across spaces, and get face time occasionally to reinforce relationships cc. @maisutton
Moving a lot of the planning process onto GitHub and archiving learnings and outcomes (the repos are hopefully modular enough for reuse / referencing) so more local events can spawn, and DWeb Global being a discovery mechanism? cc. @whanamura
Move internal planning processes to open source (or better, p2p!) tools so we as organizer become users of this tech ourselves, and better engage with ongoing conversations on p2p platforms
Please share your ideas of what you'd like to see out of Camp 2019!

This is in line with things I've been thinking about and would love to talk with interested people about at DWeb Camp. I'm specifically coming from the tack of interoperability between technologies... I know it's early days, and all these tools are still bleeding-edge, but speaking as someone straddling the line between technologist and user, or wounds be a shame if we ended up siloing our users into this or that social networking platform. I feel like the time is ripe to start building these cross-pollination pathways among dev teams and core community members. Thinking about writing up a proposal, which would be way out of my comfort zone but feels important at this stage.
So what would I love to see coming out of this camp? Strong ties among the folks in SSB, Matrix, Solid, ActivityPub, Dat, Holochain, IPFS, etc. With three purposes: fostering friendships among us all, creating channels for cross-pollinating beyond camp, and identifying specifically what it means to interoperate with an intention to start building the tools that make interoperation possible.
