Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
This program has grown far beyond nightmarish proportions to not have unit tests. Especially with its recent change to be a Maven-compatible setup, unit tests really ought to be added.

Add unit tests.

Describe alternatives you've considered
There is no alternative, since it already doesn't have unit tests.
