Can Uni-Dock run on an RTX 3080 10G? I noticed the nice graph of GPU speeds in the /unidock/assets directory. I see the 3090 24 G and 2080 8G on that graph. The 3080 and 3090 are both the Ampere architecture, so I would have thought the 3080 would work with Uni-Dock, but so far I haven't been able to get it to work. |

I can answer my own question now. Yes, Uni-Dock can run on an RTX 3080 10G. My attempts at using the Uni-Dock binary were unsuccessful. Building from source also proved difficult, although I was able eventually to get a partially working version using that method. Ultimately, I got a fully functional version of Uni-Dock to work on my Ubuntu 22.04 system with the Cuda toolkit 12.3 installed by using Docker to build from the Dockerfile. Importantly, the Cuda toolkit needs to be installed from the NVIDIA website as the CUDA toolkit installed by Ubuntu using the apt package manager is not a version that works with the RTX 3080 GPU, at least for Uni-Dock ( it worked with other programs ). That is probably something tripping a lot of people up in trying to get this program to work. |
