FR-rewind is a fast-paced, rogue-like game where players control a white triangle navigating a procedurally generated maze filled with deadly red orbs and black walls. The goal is to reach a white door at the end of each level, with survival depending on managing a constantly depleting health pool by strategically eliminating red orbs. The triangle’s unique rewind ability lets players slow time and create a path-tracing clone, allowing for rapid movement and strategic escapes. With permadeath mechanics, any collision with enemies or walls results in an instant restart, making every move critical. The game’s minimalist design, featuring sharp color contrasts and a fading white trail behind the player, creates a visually striking environment that emphasizes precision and adaptability.
Background - I am Poulav Bhowmick, a fullstack blockchain developer, with a proficiency in Rust, Cairo and Typescript. I am a starknet wolf, and have been building on Starknet and Cairo for the past few months. I am an active contributor to Starknet ecosystem projects. Our team came into existence last month when 3 madlada who are pretty cracked at what they do decided to build an out of the box game where user has more control than just surviving in the game. We decided to use Dojo game engine and built a small game. From there we planned and brainstormed on various ideas, and decided to participate in Dojo GameJam
