First of all, I want to give a big kudos to the development team for putting out such a fine product. I'm the IT/System Admin for a small church in Columbia, MD looking to leverage DocuSeal as a possible on-prem replacement of DocHub (which is very nicely integrated with Google Workspace). I was able to very quickly spin up a Docker container, per your instructions (and quick assistance when I ran into an issue with the container not starting up - due to unescaped special characters in the DATABASE_URL).
My excitement, however, quickly waned when I discovered that in order to onboard my users I would either have to subscribe to the Pro level or make every user an Admin (which is a serious security issue). I certainly understand that you need to make money to support the project and continue making improvements to the application, however, not all of us can afford the license fees (at $20/user/month).
Any chance the Editor and Viewer user roles can be unlocked for use by those of us using the free on-prem edition? It's cost prohibitive for my church to upgrade to Pro (at this time), and the only seemingly available option of making every user an Admin is very scary.
Thanks for your time and attention to this; I look forward to your response.

I completely support the points raised in this post. The ability to assign different user roles, like Editor and Viewer, is crucial, especially when considering security and privacy concerns in environments such as a church or small organization. In my case, being able to segment roles is a fundamental requirement to ensure that the right people have the appropriate access when handling sensitive documents, especially in the context of signing them. The current limitation of only being able to assign Admin roles is indeed a significant security concern, and I truly hope that the team considers unlocking these roles for the free on-prem edition.
