this is actually not an issue (anymore), but I just wanted to post the fix I found.
I have a GPS dongle, and wanted to enable the GPS so that I have both the correct system time after boot, as well as location when using KSTARS/EKOS.
After following the instructions in the main AstroArch github page, the system time was not updating.
SOLUTION: I went into the file gpsd (in folder /etc/default) and added "-n" to the line GPSD_OPTIONS = "" (see screenshot below).
After saving and rebooting, the system clock was updated within 1 minute of the system reboot :)
