Node Scaffold

This repository provides a scaffold for creating a new Node.js API project with TypeScript, along with Docker-related files for containerization.

Getting Started

To use this scaffold, follow the steps below:

Prerequisites

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/designa/node-scaffold.git
  1. Navigate to the project directory:
cd node-scaffold
  1. Run the install.sh script to install the designa-create command:
./install.sh

This script will move the designa-create.sh script to /usr/local/bin, set the execution permissions, and install it as the designa-create command.

  1. Create a new project:
designa-create <nome_do_projeto>
  1. Install project dependencies:
cd <nome_do_projeto>
yarn install
  1. Start the development server:
yarn dev

Docker

If you prefer to run the application using Docker, make sure you have Docker and Docker Compose installed on your system.

Build and run the Docker containers:

docker-compose up --build

This command will build the Docker image and start the containers for the Node.js application and PostgreSQL database.

Access the application in your browser at http://localhost:3000.
