We should consider supporting Buffer Objects from TypedInputs per http://nodered.org/blog/2017/06/28/version-0-17-released.

Does Firebase support buffers? Should we just base64 encode things?

I will hold off on this due to buffers being written as arrays in firebase and there not being a great use for this atm
