Cannot find SECRETS.json. Anyone else? #33
Comments
Did you look at the EXAMPLE.json file? This gives an example of exactly how your SECRETS.json file should look. Might be your issue. |
Thanks Killian. That worked for me. But I ran into another problem: How could I go about fixing this issue? |
Unsure why you have that issue. Have you edited the api.py file? |
I'm also having this issue. I did exactly like you and created a SECRETS.json file in the same directory with the token & id. still the app couldn't find it. |

Nevermind--the encoding problem seems to persist. It appears that I can't just get rid of some emojis in api.py and call it a day. Anyone run into a similar encoding issue? |
edit SECRET.json and remove the comment deleting the first line |
So I fixed the secrets issue and I'm running into the \U0001f512 problem now too! Sigh. |
On Windows you gotta type: chcp 65001 to enable utf-8. Worked for me. |
Running app.py is giving me an issue. I made a file named SECRETS.json via text editor in the same folder as the app.py, and input a token/id. But the code returns "Couldn't find SECRETS.json. Did you create it and put your Facebook user id and auth token in it?" What am I doing wrong?
