On macOS, if the import process stops halfway through, with the "Importing please wait..." window stuck and the figure is bright-white, then try the following steps:

  1. Open Daz Studio
  2. Select File -> Send To -> Daz To Maya
  3. Enable the Advanced Settings checkbox
  4. Verify that the version number is DazToMaya Bridge 2023 v1.0.5
  5. Click the "Install Plugin" button next to "Maya Plugin Installer".
  6. A window pops up for you to select a destination folder: the window should have pre-selected your maya folder. So if you see the modules and scripts folders present in the window, you can just click "Choose".
  7. You should see a message confirming that the Maya module was successfully installed.

Verify that the correct version of the Maya module is installed by opening Maya and clicking the "DAZ IMPORT" icon. In the pop-up window, the revision number at the bottom should be 2023.1 revision 0.5
