i use gentoo. this is a purely networking problem.
wpa_supplicant.conf:
"ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=0

/etc/conf.d/net

lspci -k shows driver wl.0 as being used for the NIC
i cannot ping my router or google, etc
