As BIDS already support them, soon ndx-events for NWB, etc. This would allow better faceted search and stats across dandisets. NEMAR has some visualizations for HED tagged datasets (on openneuro): e.g. https://nemar.org/dataexplorer/detail?dataset_id=ds004118 .
