Parts

The Maestro Parts module provides Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to control design specifications (custom parts and commercial-off-the-shelf), part sources (vendor and/or OEM manufacturer), parts lists or bills of materials (BOMs), and related documents (user manuals, drawings, CAD files, assembly and test procedures, etc.). The Maestro Parts module includes change management processes, conforming to industry best practices and supporting regulatory requirements in controlled industries.

Projects

The Maestro Projects module provides a framework to identify and manage projects undertaken by an organization. By managing projects more effectively, project goals are reached sooner and at a lower cost.

A project is made up of one or more activities. Each activity has an owner, who has overall responsibility for the execution of the activity, as well as any required resources (e.g. people or equipment).

Issues

An Issue is an observation of some generally undesired behavior. The Maestro Issue module provides a structure for recording issues and managing their resolution. An issue in Maestro can be linked directly to a part (an issue with the design or specification) and or a stock item (a specific serial number or batch).

Other names for an issue management system include FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System) system, and NCR (Non-Conformance Reporting) system.

Stock

Stock consists of physical items, compared to a Part which is the specification for a stock item. A stock item has a part number, and may have a lot, batch or serial number. The Maestro Stock module manages production and allocation of stock, including test records and related information.

Customers are included in the Stock module for integrated customer management, including capturing relationships to Parts, Issues, and Stock. The Stock module also includes Orders, to capture stock demand and historical transactions.

Files

The Maestro Files module manages part documents (files related to PLM processes, including drawings, datasheets, work instructions...), as well as ad hoc documents, in a controlled environment with visible trusted history.

Users

The Maestro Users module manages user information (e.g. login name and password, email address, etc.), as well as user privileges (which actions a user is permitted to perform). The Maestro Users module provides a single point of truth for user information.
