The definition of the subject field in the Structure > Content Type > Islandora Repository Item differs from the Islandora Community definition (see below). The current iteration of the transform aligns with the Community definition of the related taxonomy (whereas the LEAF definition subject field aligns more with the general subject field with multiple taxonomy references). This issue asked the question whether or not the current transformation for MODS subject is correct.
