AUR release #2
Comments
I just looked into what it would take to package it for the AUR and I don't have the time as of now. It would mean me setting up an Arch system, since I don't use Arch, and then going through the build steps. However, feel free to take it and package it for the AUR as a contribution. |
Also, since applets will mainly be distributed through Flatpak in the future, it might not be necessary to package it. |
I actually can’t make this one into a Flatpak. It can’t access the Tailscale CLI; I’ve tried. |
There seems to be a flatpak app that can interface with the CLI. https://flathub.org/apps/dev.deedles.Trayscale |
That app is using the API calls, which I didn’t want to use. I wanted to just use the CLI commands. However, if someone else that knows more about Flatpak packaging than I do can do it, I’d love for it to be in a Flatpak. |
If anyone would like to contribute by packaging this for the AUR, it would very much be appreciated. |
I am just waiting on github actions to pass building the AUR, once done I will give it a try |
That’s awesome! Thank you for your time, effort, and help!

The github actions builds OK, I just need to spin up an arch system to test it prior to submitting to the AUR and will try to do it this evening as I have not tested it yet and expect there will be a few issues to fix. |
I'd like to use this app on Arch. I would appreciate it if you uploaded it to AUR 🙏
