There is no pkg-config file iconv.pc in libiconv

Issue

There is no iconv.pc pkg-config file. This is a pity, as e.g. libarchive package has iconv as a dependency, and when checking libarchive this raises an error:

(debug) mottelet@macmottelet-cr-1 scilab % pkg-config libarchive --cflags
Package iconv was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `iconv.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
