Smart receiver firmware development

I noticed over at doityourselfchristmas you were looking for suggestions regarding the smart receiver development. I am posting the same recommendation I made over there here.

Have a look at the Zephyr rtos development environment. It is quite good and is cross platform so you can build targets for many different mcu's and boards. https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/boards/index.html

The project is an active open source project and part of the linux foundation.
