I'm starting a stub issue here to discuss the history and future of polis as a social platform, both technically and "in spirit".
The possibilities for users to bring expertise and public cred / legitimacy with them when they show up to a forum that "did more for the conversation" than other platforms might, with very specialized conversation features for very specialized conversations was always something considered. It certainly seems more possible now.
As a stub example to seed this discussion, here's an example of ingesting posts to create a profile that's likely predictive of voting in polis. https://blueskyroast.com/roast/colinmegill.com
