It would take some clever visualization, but it could be pretty cool. They have a map visualization on the data portal, but I bet we could figure out something better.
Also, a consensus dataset from https://trello.com/b/hNgIvNMH/nashvillebrigade (go vote for datasets!) is the business licensure dataset which could also be of interest. Obviously these are not public utilities.
Metro's parks and facilities dataset is available however.
I know it's not on the list, but the biggest dataset for transparency is the budget: line item detail, not just monthly/quarterly/yearly aggregates. I'd also like to see a dataset for metro legislation: proposed, passed, and council member sponsors/votes. We can tie them together with the contracts dataset to give more insight on how money impacts policy.
I'm pretty sure @danburger is working on a political category with data from the census - good ideas @texdc to tie in with this category - i also think a separate category just for the budget would be ideal as its quite big
Metro has provided us with a list of datasets that they can make available (eventually) if we ask them.
