The community version is now clearly detached from the business one. I think it's good as there were to much differences between the official and community version before...

History can be found here

It's NodeJS / MySQL technologies.

There is a CLI https://github.com/hedgedoc/cli

Questions I see

  1. Should it be members only or public accessible
1.1 HedgeDoc support LADP, how could this integrate
  2. image saving directory (local or with imburg, amazon...)
  3. Subdomain name, I suggest something like notes.club1.fr

1. Should it be members only or public accessible

For now, the only public tool we've set up was Matrix, it was important as the interest of it depend of the community using it (as it's a network).
For Hedge Doc, it's not the same question as it's more a personal and independent tool. I think this could be member only, evermore if there is the possibility to create public editable docs when you're a member.
But,
Maybe this could be limitant for people using it as teams of identified users for long projects.

Some news:

Hedgedoc is rewriting a v2, I think we should wait for this new version.

Another idea could be to implement VScode as webeditor.
