Extraneous files created when saving an MD file to Dropbox

When I save an .md file to Dropbox, every time I save changes, I get a new file created with a random extension but the original file is not actually updated.

Example:

I can't quite figure out if this is a CuteMarkEd issue or a Dropbox issue, but since it doesn't seem to occur when saving files in Sublime Text, perhaps it's a CuteMarkEd thing.

This does NOT happen when I save the file elsewhere on my filesystem, only within my Dropbox folder. Is there perhaps some compatibility issue with CuteMarkEd and Dropbox?

It's easy to lose data since the changes are not saved to the original file.
