Symmetrical BFI Housing for VT has the V2.4 housing #25
Comments
Actually the entire VT housing is the 2.4 housing - it won't fit M5x40s. The step file doesn't have the correct VT components either. I suggest removing the trident version completely for now so others don't run into the same issues I have when trying to use this mod. |
any follow up on this? |
Sounds like @tetsu97 needs to make some updates |
While this is 100% correct. I don't really see it as a problem? Just use replace the T nuts with m3 and use some m3x8 screws. |
@Person1873 I updated the title since that was probably causing some confusion. BFI-VT_Housing_Symmetrical_x2.stl is using the v2.4 housing. It's a bigger issue than just the wrong screw holes. It's the wrong part. |
I've just reviewed the files & this is incorrect. I'm running the most up to date m3 variant of these parts without issue. |
@Person1873 Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. Here are some pictures to clarify:
Hopefully these pictures make it clear that the symmetrical VT housing was based off the standard V2.4 housing, not the standard VT housing. |
BFI-VT_Housing_Symmetrical_x2.stl has an M5 and an M3 hole on each side like the V2.4 housing, but the VT housing should have four M5 holes.
