Tab complete doesn't always work

Example problems:
go into projects
type
$ ls Gi
autocompletes to GitHub, but could also have been GitterPatter.
This is a bug, unless you are going for Windows-style tab completion. So this is a bug, period. :)
Similarly, hitting tab from projects (or another dir) will autocomplete to the first item, but shouldn't, etc.
