First I want to express thanks to all contributors for creating this project!

It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, so I was a bit disillusioned finding the latest commits (943d1f2 on master and 3fc1978 on development) being more than five years old and many old PRs and issues open. Which got me thinking:

  • Is this project still maintained?
  • Is there an active alternative that I am missing?
  • Would you be willing to find a new maintainer?
  • Is there community interest in developing this further? (6 open PRs)

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Hello Niels. Great project indeed. I am in the same situation as you it seems and with the same questions :

  • I'm not sure the project is still maintained (it's seems it doesn't work with the latest Jinja updates)
  • I haven't found a viable and active alternative elsewhere, to my surprise. But if you have I am interested.
  • I don't know if they are willing to find a new maintainer. Were my pythonic skills better, I'd glady join (I am not a coder by craft)
  • I do at least have some interest in seeing this project being developped further.

Seeing how old the repo and commits where, I thought it would be a good self-learning project to try to build something new out of Jinja2 and odt files and ended up with a modest script to do basic modifications. Very far though from what Secretary has to offer !
