Escape to cancel drag

If you've started dragging, pressing escape should cancel a drag.

I agree, that does seem to be user-friendly. I wonder if this should be an option that can be turned on or if a function could be exposed to cancel the drag that the developer could then hook up to the escape key themselves. I'm leaning towards the first option.
