Worked fine until 17.7 but when i updated to 17.8 the phone entered a boot loop. i double checked that PIF was indeed the source of the problem. I did not had time to test on other devices but i think any smartphone on android 13 is affected

note that i had play curl installed and enabled when updating to 17.8

Magisk 27.0

I faced the same issue. PIF 17.7 worked fine for me and after I installed PIF 17.8 it caused a bootloop. I am not using playcurl alongside it. Just chiteroman's PIF. on Poco F5, Android 13.

v17.9 should fix this.

v17.9 should fix this.

Thank you, v17.9 fixed bootloop for me though I noticed that integrity checks are not stable: first check request fails with all 3 checks, second - basic & integrity are ok, 3d - all check fail again and so on.
I've also checked v17.7 - it's the same.
Is this an expected behaviour?

boot loop, v17.9
POCO F5 .eu miui marble latest

and,
Xiaomi users, if you know, please let me know.
If I can't even enter safemode during bootloop, how can I turn off magisk's PIF and boot?

Deleting /data/adb/modules/playintegrityfix folder in recovery (TWRP in my case) helped me to boot

Didn't work for me and even HuskyDG's bootloop protector couldn't help. It's in intermittent bootloop. I will reflash the eu rom and stick to 17.7 PIF for now. For POCO F5 Xiaomi eu, a13

For Xioami Eu a13, MI11TPro the latest PIF works.

Thank you for your advice. It didn't work.
I tried the following, but the result is a bootloop.

  • deleting modules/playintegrityfix
  • reflashing TWRP > install > .eu marble v14.0.27.0 latest .zip

Please forgive me if this is different from the purpose of the thread.
Is there anything else I need to configure?

I suggest u clean flash the eu rom or maybe dirty flash may work. But make sure to backup up ur data through twrp.

This was very helpful as an example of reflash working properly, thank you.

However, neither clean flash nor dirty flash worked.

  • PLAN A: wipe dalvik/cache/data & TWRP .eu rom reflash(marble latest)
  • PLAN B: windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat install
  • deleting modules/playintegrityfix
It gets stuck and bootloops after the MIUI logo appears. (MIUI boot jingle stops midway)

hmmm.. Will a bug in PIF cause this much disruption to the system?

If you are using xiaomi.eu custom rom you should use their module: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-eu-multilang-miui-roms/files/xiaomi.eu/Xiaomi.eu-app/

I don't know why in some devices it bootloops, in my vayu (POCO X3 Pro) using latest xiaomi.eu, it doesn't bootloop.

I did a full wipe and did a clean install.

This is a reproducible bug, always bootloop.
XiaomiEUModule_2024.10.24.apk installed.

Please alert POCO F5 users.
