Hey @rnmp, is there any chance that you could recover the vector sources of the cherry logo?

@webknjaz Hey sorry, I checked but forgot to respond. I technically have it in vector format but it's a vector format from Adobe Fireworks (which funny enough is in .png extension). Attached here but you will need to get ahold of that app and find a way to export it to svg or another vector format (I no longer have a CC account).

Hi @rnmp! Thanks!
I'll try to get Fireworks trial version for that.
Could you please re-upload the picture to somewhere else? I'm not sure whether GitHub preserves it "as is". Some web-sites "optimize" images the wrong way.

Thanks!
I tried to install trial version on my wife's MacBook but it failed to even start the installer :(
Will try to find some old system for that maybe..

@rnmp so I've managed to open it with FireWorks but it looks like the layer inside the file is bitmap, not vector :(

@webknjaz Oh no! I'm sorry about this. Tell you what:

Here are some paid vector sets where the new CherryPy logo resides:

https://creativemarket.com/incomible/248189-Cherries.
https://creativemarket.com/theresacummings/791262-3-Vector-Cherry-Illustrations
https://creativemarket.com/LoveGraphicDesign/469334-Cherry-set
https://creativemarket.com/Flower_Travelin_Man/1159878-Abstract-vector-cherry-icon

Pick one set and I'll buy it, clean up and set up the new logo!

I suggest the first set, in particular, a variation of these cherries:

What you think?

It's so nice of you to suggest that!

Personally I think I like the last one.
OTOH this is something which should be discussed with the broader maintainers team. At least ask @jaraco too..

My original intent was to have a vector image which could be easily put to web-pages and be easily scalable. What you suggest would result in a re-branding process which might or might not be desired at this point.

Totally. Makes sense!

Oh, and it looks like images from that website cannot be used as logos. What do you think?
