Nice plugin! I already started to provide the same functionality when I found it. I am just missing an option to keep the original version number, e.g.: if I am on the branch feature/TR-123-bla-bla and have the version 3.0.4-SNAPSHOT in the pom the resulting version should be 3.0.4-TR-123-SNAPSHOT. I would be happy to provide a pull request, if you like.
