Is this really an open source project or is this just a repository for a private project? I downloaded this code to a Linux Ubuntu box, but there are no instructions on how to configure it.
If you do not want outsiders to access your server, how does one clone your database and run your scripts locally?
Is there a test suite?
Is there a master ECM address table for everything or only for the textual changes that made it into NA28?
When I run Coherence at Variant Passages with the sample entry (Jas 2.3/50-56b) in the "Guide" I get "Cannot display ."
BTW- I am retired now, but I worked on the Microsoft Visual C++ Team for 20 years so I am not a novice. I would appreciate some documentation so that I can dogfood these tools; perhaps write tests, enter bugs, etc.

This is indeed an open source project, although in an early stage. It will take some time before we will be able to provide installation scripts for everybody, provide a downloadable copy of the database, a test suite, etc.
Good to know. You probably have already given this some thought, but I would just document one narrow path on one platform (e.g. Ubuntu or whatever you are using for a dev platform). Those who "go off the beaten path" are on their own. You don't want to try to support a bunch of platforms. If a community develops, others can provide the config steps for other platforms.
OK, thanks for doing this. Now I am going to contradict my recommendation. I might want to figure out a minimalistic set of steps that simply runs the queries on the desktop rather than require the full apache webserver solution. The reason I want to do this is for educational purposes for those interested in learning about the code that performs the queries without all of the webserver overhead. First of all, would you welcome this sort of contribution? Secondly, assuming I get some traction on this, would you mind terribly if I asked a question now and then? I will try to not to be a nuisance since I conceded that this request is "off the beaten path" as we yanks put it.
