Starting from Firefox 115, deleting a bookmark causes about a one-second freeze in using the Firefox menu, i.e., scrolling over bookmarks, switching tabs, etc. This only happens when deleting a bookmark. Adding a bookmark is instant and causes no problems. Note that this happens when not using Bookmarks Organizer, it just has to be enabled to cause the problem. (I now keep it disabled when not using it.)
This has continued up to the current Firefox version I'm using, which is version 124.0
Bookmarks Organizer version is 4.1.1
To see the problem, add a bookmark. Then open the bookmarks menu, right-click and delete the bookmark, then quickly try to hover the mouse over the other bookmarks. In my case, the mouse lags for about a second.

Bro I have the similar issue, I noticed the more your bookmarks db is big the longer the freeze is.
I thought the responsible extension for this intense problem was "Bookmarks Search Plus 2" or something. Are you sure it's bookmarks Organizer?

In my case, yes. I can disable Bookmarks Organizer and the problem goes away. I have about 80 add-ons and only this causes the lag. As an aside, I don't use "Bookmarks Search Plus 2".
For the record, I have about 7,000 bookmarks and have no problems with bookmarks otherwise.
Oh okay I probably didn't notice a big difference with bookmarks organizer because id it's only 1second delay or so, it's nothing compared to that extension I cited above, for real it freezes like SO LONG. If I delete one bookmark it freeze around 5 seconds but if I delete a BUNCH I'm dead I have to literally close my Firefox profile and restart it -_- I really hope firefox or devs from extensions fix this new introduced problem asap @cadeyrn
For reference I'm working with +9000 bookmarks.
On my smaller bookmarks DBs I don't have to struggle that much I think it only lags when you have really too many bookmarks.
