In both the official template and community templates, directory symlinks that appear in second-level (and below) directories/directory-symlinks appear as normal symlinks instead of directory symlinks.

Top-level (root):

Inside a top-level directory:

Clicking on these will still show the directory listing, so this seems to be purely visual.

Public example available: https://files.helpimnotdrowning.net/ (top) and https://files.helpimnotdrowning.net/Amelia%20Watson/ (second)

Using:

  • Caddy v2.8.4 h1:q3pe0wpBj1OcHFZ3n/1nl4V4bxBrYoSoab7rL9BMYNk= (latest from download page + dns.providers.cloudflare)
  • Debian 12.6
  • Linux kernel 6.1.99-1
