In GH there's also an option of dashed wires, like half-visible. But not sure of the case to use, from the top of the head.

Hey! Sometimes I create variables instead of wires just to clean the visual mess of wires. Would be really useful to have hidden wires, as in example below from Grasshopper. It may be activated for selected wires, to not show them unless it's selected.
