Just came across this while looking at snowfall totals for the current storm. This is a great example of a nested sequential colorbar, which came up a lot during our CSU presentation.

Nice. Might be nice to have a whole section on nested colorbars like this in the "theory" notebook, and add some appropriate sample datasets to the colormap-building notebook.
