Can I download a regional subset?

Thank you so much for a fantastic software that you have. I have a
question regarding the goes2go. Is it possible to define the extent of
the region I am interested in and process the files within goes2go. Or
I should always process first Full disk and then define my region.

Glad you like goes2go.

It's not possible to download a portion of a NetCDF file with goes2go. You will have to download the full file (full disk, CONUS, or mesoscale sector) and then process the data for the extent you are interested.

There are some who are working on methods to subset NetCDF files in the cloud. You might look at [fsspec/kerchunk]](https://github.com/fsspec/kerchunk) and see if they have a good solution to subsetting GOES data.
