I haven't played with the smoke variables much yet, but here's a start. From here, I think you need the So, for a 6 hour forecast H = Herbie('2022-09-14', model='hrrr', fxx=6)
ds = H.xarray("COLMD")
ds.unknown.plot(cmap='Spectral_r') produces this quick plot and this looks like this plot of integrated smoke (I just don't know what the units are--it's not stored in the GRIB file as far as I can tell.) Hope that gets you started. |
