include and exclude arrays are only accepting a very specific format of data, this should be more flexible.

Resources:

Actual

include: ['.md', '.png'],
exclude: ['README.md'],

Expected

Example:

include: ['*.md', '*.png', '*.jpg', '*.gif', 'scriptsamples/**/*.js'],
exclude: ['README.md', 'foldername'],
