Another helpful facet: showing what's curated, if any admins want to take the editorial role of cherry-picking what's been most interesting over the past weeks. Meetups might be helpful to include if we can localize them to where the person lives – if they can list their city in their profile, and it matches (or is nearby) existing meetups happening within the next 2 weeks, then these could be shown in a sidebar. Showing this upon login would likely improve engagement quite a bit, and I'd love to test how this performs relative to the existing login page.
