Masive real memory consumption (Gity 0.5) #40

With opened single git repository (size 55 MB, 3400 files):

Gity 0.5 take >750 MB of real memory, opened after more than 1 minute on full CPU load.
Gitx 0.7.1 take < 20 MB of real memory, opened in 3 seconds.
Gitbox 1.5.2 take <20 MB of real memory, opened in 1 seconds.
