Hi there,

First, thank you for this piece of software, if it begins to work with my machine, I will be so greatful. Anywho, when I run "sudo alienfx-lite" a prompt comes up that states

"Device unknown: no controller available. Please report this issue to github.com/bchretien/AlienFxLite"

I am running Lubuntu on an m11x r3. No changes to the inner hardware.

I appreciate your time,
Erik

Hi Erik, the problem is that each Alienware device is associated with a slightly different protocol to control the lights (ids for each area of the laptop vary), so we need to explicitly add support for new hardware. Still, the M11x R3 should already be supported... When you run the software, what is the printed message? (e.g. Device found: 187c:0516)
