The latest update (1.5?) is requesting additional permissions that are requiring manual verification. Why is this change necessary? |

Since in update 1.4 I removed the "cookies" permission, if I was to re-add the permission back into Why am I asking for the "cookies" permission in the first place?

Since in update 1.4 I removed the "cookies" permission, if I was to re-add the permission back into
"permissions"
, I suspect that for users who are coming from this update into 1.5, Chrome (as well as the other browsers) would automatically disable the extensionTherefore, I added it as an optional permission
Why am I asking for the "cookies" permission in the first place?
Because I'm considering two scenarios:

orwide=0
