I think that a binary 0-1 solution for "Mi fido" is not very functional.
As always, it is a backed feature design that will constrain also the mobile app.

I like to discuss this tecno-political choices/design with the other registered Rosseau members in a forum (#192.)

Personally I think that "Mi fido" needs to be a vector so we need to add a positive or negative intensity (1-5 Yellow/Red stars? Mi fido points?).
I think that also allocating an unlimited "Mi fido" budget for every registered users (M5S member) is a very bad choice cause it gives any incentive to take care about Mi fido allocations (and removal).

On of the best solution IMHO is to have a positive negative "MI fido" allocation, like 1-5 yellow or red stars or without limits as "Mi fido"/"Non mi fido" (better name here) points.

Ideally we could limit the total budget allocated to every subscribed user to 100 or 1000 "Mi fido" points that they could consume with a quadratic rule.

So:
1 star positive or negative "Mi fido" will consume your budget for 1^2
2 stars pos or neg "Mifido" will consume our budget at 2^2
3 stars pos or neg "Mifido" will consume our budget at 3^2
4 .... 4^2

and so on.

I really like to discuss things like this with the other member without the Github/English barrier so please evaluate a Discourse install as the Team Digitale has done some year ago.

Thanks, it's a pleasure to discuss project features

Sorry @bhack. I didn't have time to properly discuss that, since it required me to gather more info on the backend. I'm only working on the app and I don't have the full context on this feature, so I didn't have the answer right away.

Since, this issue was also a tracker for the feature, I closed it once I was done with the feature. I forgot this was also spiking a discussion.

So, I'm just reopening it and I hope to get back to you asap.

It Is hard to decode what Is what with just a single word title.

But I understand that this is mainly a single dev project without github users so there Is less care for tickets.

@bhack I'm happy to discuss it, but this is out of the scope of the app. I agree with you that a 1-5 rating would be better, but I don't have the full context on all the reasons behind this implementation. So, I might share an opinion that makes no sense seeing the bigger picture.

Discord could be a great tool, but now they have no bandwidth to launch it and manage it. Although, not sure you are aware of it, but the team created "Level UP" which might be even more powerful than discord. For example, they already scheduled 3 meetings to reshape the badging system. I can't warranty, but It's possible that in the future they will organize a series of meeting for the "Mi fido" feature.

Level UP is not the solution It could be Just an "extra" but we need async discussion spaces that are accessibile to power-users and users 24/24. Github is not accessibile for the community.

About the bandwith, I can give some free slots if you are too busy.
