When for some reason, sink is disconnected, we try reconnection, while buffering messages in memory. If reconnecting continues to fail for extended periods of time, we might consume a lot of memory. There should be a safety valve to discard old messages when connection cannot be established for more than some set amount of time(let's say 10 or 30 minutes).
