Feature request: flag to enable hiding hidden files

Please add a flag to enable hiding hidden files on startup.

Actually, the hidden files should be hidden by default: this is implied by the definition of "hidden files".
The flag should be: "show hidden files", not "hide hidden files". The same meaning should be given to the "." key.
