How to enable colors in a tmux session?

Hey, I started using molecule yesterday and was surprised when my output looked very differently than those I see in tutorials.
The main difference is that there was no colors.

For the first time I executed molecule today without being in a tmux session and suddenly there was color.
So I guess there is something wrong with my tmux configuration or molecule makes wrong assumptions because of it.

Is there a way to get colors working in tmux?

I know of two environment variables that can have effects on color output

PY_COLORS=1
ANSIBLE_FORCE_COLOR=1

[MLNW]

PY_COLORS=1 alone is sufficient in my case.
