driver: Unallowed value docker?

I've upgraded Molecule to the latest version (molecule 3.1.5, same with 3.2.0a1.dev33) and I've got the following error:

% molecule create
...
CRITICALFailed to pre-validate.

{'driver': [{'name': ['unallowed value docker']}]}

My molecule.yml consist:

  name: galaxy
driver:
  name: docker
platforms:
...

If I remove driver, then I've got different error:

Any idea how to migrate driver section to the new Molecule? Or it's a bug?

Ok, I've found in the docs: https://molecule.readthedocs.io/en/latest/configuration.html#driver.

driver:
  name: delegated
  options:
    managed: False
    login_cmd_template: 'docker exec -ti {instance} bash'
    ansible_connection_options:
      ansible_connection: docker

However KeyError: 'docker' still is happening.

hm. did you install the molecule docker driver module as explained in the top of https://molecule.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting-started.html ?

The driver and existing tests worked fine with molecule 3.0.8 (I could exec into docker containers), but when upgraded to 3.1.5 it stopped working by it-self. I'm working on the existing files (which worked), so I don't want to re-init everything from scratch. Is the syntax changed for 3.1? If so, where I can find more info on how to migrate the previous syntax?

• Latest version I've installed by: pip3 install molecule
• The latest dev I've installed by: python3 -m pip install -U git+https://github.com/ansible-community/molecule

When I've downgraded to 3.0.8 (pip3 install molecule==3.0.8), everything is working again.

In molecule 3.1, the docker driver has been moved out of the molecule to a different project, as mentioned here:
https://github.com/ansible-community/molecule/releases/tag/3.1.1
So, you need to install it when installing or upgrading molecule

Thanks, installing Docker driver via Pip worked:

pip install 'molecule[docker]'

Python 3:

pip3 install 'molecule[docker]'
