Ubuntu Unity 16.04 Noisy white borders & window controls #137

  • I just realized Shutter cropped the screenshot so you are not able to see the white borders, but notice the window controls. Edit: The white borders are pretty wide, probably as wide as the window shadows.
  • I cannot reliably reproduce the issue; it just happens sometimes.
  • I think it happens mostly after my machine wakes up from sleep.
  • I can fix the issue by restarting my desktop manager (sudo service lightdm restart) or rebooting.

Edit: I followed my suspicion along with feedback from @zhaozhixu, and I can confirm that the issue occurs every time my machine wakes up from sleep.

I also have this problem. It happens every time my machine wakes up from sleep.
I always fix it by restarting unity or rebooting.
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04, Unity 7.4.0, Linux 4.4.0-75-generic, 1366x768 resolution.

I can confirm that bug, doesn't really effect me, but it's a nightmare for notebook users I guess.
