I happen to own an eMac, which as of this Compatability request, gets hot after a while and thus freezes up (spinning beachball). Anyhow I will happily give this tool a try and submit an issue if there’s anything not working as it should. I should mention it is running Tiger on the original 40 GB HDD... which may need replaced sooner or later.
