Describe the bug

  • Video filters in the front camera do not work
  • Video filters in the rear camera only work when "Video Stabilization" is turned off

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • All models

Additional context

  • This particular bug seems to be due to not having enough rendering surfaces between gralloc and camera, hence why disabling VDIS (Stabilization) restores video filters in the rear camera, meanwhile front camera does not allocate any extra surfaces to begin with
  • I do suspect that the front camera is attempting to use EIS/VDIS regardless of the camera settings, but this is unconfirmed yet
  • For now there is no concrete fix, aside from the workaround for rear camera
