Jupyterlab k8s container image? State of things?

I was creating an appropriate container for jupyterlab in k8s ( https://jupyter-docker-stacks.readthedocs.io/en/latest/using/specifics.html#apache-spark ). Hopefully update my video guide ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPawUSKmeo4 ) to reflect the current state of things.

1. What are the current state of things? I see a 0.14 RC release series. Should I target the 0.14 release for my work?
2. Has somebody already made an image compatible with jupyterlab on k8s? Seems like a vague process and any help here would be great.

here is a complete container image. This provides several kernels: 1. 2.13 with Spark already ready to use. 2. Scala 3 - no spark. 3. Scala 2.13 - no spark.
