The OFL FAQ recommends to use "Reserved Font Name" and to include a font log.

I’m not a fan of Reserved Font Name caluse, it is IMO a misguided attempt to solve a technical issue with legal means. The font log is good, and I should added it when the font is ready for release (it is not currently).
